How to get started at Robles Dance Academy

Introduction to Tango Program

The Introduction to Tango program is designed for

 complete beginners to take their first step into a

new world of exercise, fun and a new social scene.

A mix of private, group classes and socials in a

relaxed and friendly environment.

3 Private lessons - In these lessons, one on one

with your dance teacher, you will learn the first

5 mayor techniques of Tango. Book these lessons

at the times that are most convenient to you between

1.00pm and 10.00pm Monday to Friday.

3 Group classes - In the group classes you will

begin to develop a sensitivity to lead/follow as you

will start to mix with other dancers doing

the same program. Follow the class timetable

and chose the best times for you.

3 Socials - In the socials, the more advanced

dancers will help you to get around the dance floor

or you can simply relax and enjoy a glass of red

and the Buenos Aires ambiance.

15 hours of dance for $240 for two people.

Tango Every Friday

7.30pm Introduction to Tango

This class is designed for the complete beginner, for the student

that has never taken a dance class before. This half hour class

introduces the student to the first movements of Tango;

the student begins to understand the terminologies of the dance.

Every movement is explained to the maximum detail giving

the student a lot of time to practice. $10

8.00pm Beginner Tango/Second step

In this class the student begins to undertand the major components

of Tango Argentino and begins to lead and follow the figures that

they create themselves in the class. As we know Tango is a dance

of constant spontaneous creation that is the reason why the student

must be very familiar with all the components and

their respective techniques. $15

9.00pm Intermediate/Advanced

In this class, the student would have gone through the process

of fully understanding all the mayor components of the dance,

including lead and follow. At this point the student is learning

all of the latest techniques of an international level as taught

by the Masters from Buenos Aires. $15

10.00pm Milonga "BESOS BRUJOS"

Through time, this Milonga has gained the reputation of being,

as close if not better than the Milongas in Buenos Aires.

The music, decor and typical Robles atmosphere attract the best

dancers from Australia and around the world. $10

Teacher – Emmanuelle

Women’s Technique Class at 7pm

This class is specially designed to focus on all the mayor women’s

technique incorporating Caminadas, Boleos and Adornos.

The class begins with a 15 minute warm up with specific exercises

for Tango Argentino, also fantastic for your own core muscles and balance.
